High Temperature Heat Resistant Polyimide Tape (commonly called Kapton Tape) is a thin adhesive tape made from polyimide film, designed to withstand very high temperatures while providing excellent electrical insulation.
Width: 12 mm
Length: 30 meters
Material: Polyimide film
Color: Amber (golden-brown)
Adhesive: Silicone-based adhesive
Temperature Resistance:
Continuous: typically up to 260°C
Short-term: up to 300°C or higher (depending on manufacturer)
Electrical Insulation: Excellent dielectric strength
Chemical Resistance: Resistant to solvents, oils, and many chemicals
Flame Resistance: Self-extinguishing
Residue: Usually leaves little or no adhesive residue after removal
Common Applications
Protecting electronic components during soldering
Insulating battery packs (18650, 21700, 26650, etc.)
PCB masking during wave soldering and reflow processes
3D printer bed surface protection
Motor, transformer, and coil insulation
Aerospace and industrial electrical insulation
